Entropy – MIST

Melbourne Immersive Sound Theatre

Four spatial events presenting a range of electroacoustic compositions and live performances; walk, sit and listen across 3 hour programs of spatial sound works on the speaker orchestra.

Installation Mode

  1. Wednesday 11 March, 12.30pm-3.30pm – free entry

Open workshop and listening session – key works from previous SIAL Sound Studio and Design and Sonic Practice Research Group projects (see Friday program for list of works). An opportunity to spatial electroacoustic works, observe preparations and talk to key MIST members.

  1. Thursday 12 March, 2.30-5.30pm – free entry

Open workshop and listening session. Join students and staff from SIAL Sound Studios, RMIT University as they investigate MIST and listen to spatial sound works on the system. Also an opportunity to observe preparations and talk to key MIST members.

  1. Friday 13 March, 4pm-7pm – free entry

A 3 hour program of spatial sound works commissioned by the Design and Sonic Practice Research Group at RMIT, and produced and presented previously by SIAL Sound Studios. These works explore space, environments and sound composition across a range genres from electroacoustic music.
