ELISION – The Surface Project

A world premiere of Timothy McCormack’s subsidence, as well as works by Aaron Cassidy, Matthew Sergeant and Richard Barrett.

The Surface Project concert featured Daryl Buckley, Peter Neville and Tristram Williams performing the world premiere of Timothy McCormack’s subsidence, as well as works by Aaron Cassidy, Matthew Sergeant and Richard Barrett.

 

The Surface Project comprised four works:

  • Aaron Cassidy’s The wreck of former boundaries (for electric lap-steel guitar and electronics)

  • Matthew Sergeant’s [terrains] (For quartertone flugelhorn with preparation)

  • Timothy McCormack’s subsidence (for electric lap-steel guitar with two players)

  • Richard Barrett’s Codex III (for three players).
