The Things We Did Next (TTWDN) is a collaborative practice that generates a series of interconnected artworks and projects based on collectively imagining multiple futures.
1. Future Archive is an archive of auditory explorations of futures to come in the era of climates changed, featuring speculative news reports, vox pops and reportage that will transport listeners to 2029.
Future Archive artifacts have been created as stand-alone sound events and embedded in the Assembly for The Future series, the TV, Live and Pod projects.
A multi-platform exploration of futures to come in the era of climates changed and changing, The Things We Did Next (TTWDNext) transports collaborators, participants + audiences to 2029 when significant impacts on planetary health are a daily reality, alongside powerful upheavals of our cultural, political and energy systems. The Future Archive has initially been developed with RMIT University’s Spatial Information Architecture Laboratory – SIAL Sound Studios by Sophie Gleeson, Lisa Rae Bartolomei and Gillian Lever.
All Editions are available here.
SIAL Sound Studios were also preparing for a performance with TTWDN as part of the Bleed Festival, which was moved on line due to COVID restrictions in 2020.
