The Surface 2 Edge studio focussed on a creative approach for exploring loudspeaker design and how sound generating technologies can be spatially reconfigured to produce novel, intimate and expressive listening experiences across a range of indoor and outdoor contexts.
This studio first established an understanding of the criteria that drives loudspeaker design today, before adopting an extensive design search as a means to inspire, and guide ideas for considering the qualities and narrative that informs each design.
This studio was partnered with Richardt Wilkinson from the School of Engineering, RMIT University.
